Dual Education and the New Generation of Professionals
At the foundation of any field's development lies the education of the people working in that sector, which is why we have always supported initiatives that contribute to training new generations of professionals. We believe the future can be built as early as high school, so students in ninth, tenth, or eleventh grade, assigned to vocational schools or technical high schools, can choose a dual education system that seamlessly blends practical application with theory. For example, among other possibilities, the profession of auto mechanic is sought after and needed not only nationally, but also across Europe, making it a stable, forward-looking choice.
National Vocational Day at CTE Trailers
On March 11, National Vocational Day, we showcased to students both familiar trades from the industry, such as auto mechanic, as well as lesser-known specializations, like mechatronics.
In addition to the benefits of the program, students were introduced not only to the CTE Trailers Dual System Vocational School, organized in partnership with Pamfil Șeicaru Technological High School, but also to the advantages of dual education for their future development. This program serves as a bridge between the company and young people, allowing them to experience daily life within the company and guaranteeing a secure job after finishing school. Students can choose from a wide range of opportunities once they have completed the initial stage of training and preparation. Among the benefits of being an auto mechanic, we can mention that this occupation develops dexterity, attention to detail, and time management skills. We make sure that students have more options after graduation beyond knowledge of automotive mechanics, offering opportunities such as free driving school courses for category B licenses. Throughout the project, students are provided with accommodation, meals, transport (for those from neighboring communities), and protective equipment. It's also worth noting that each month, students enrolled at the CTE Trailers Dual Education School receive various scholarships to ease financial concerns.
CTE Trailers is built on excellence, continuous development, and professionalism. The workshops where students learn the auto mechanic trade are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, top products from leading manufacturers, and newly published manuals with updated technologies. Furthermore, young people benefit from ongoing knowledge transfer from professionals, and always have access to a mentor ready to help them directly with any questions they might have during their development. We want to ensure that students who embark on this journey receive not only proper theoretical guidance but also thorough and effective training and integration into both the trade and the industry.

Although the field we operate in is largely associated with masculinity, we are convinced that we can make a unique contribution by increasing the number of young women who can have an impact in the industry. Leadership positions, especially management ones in the services industry—including transport and storage—were held in 2019 by women in 50% of cases, marking an impressive increase from previous years. In this context, Dana Manns, Managing Partner at CTE Trailers, shares her thoughts on the inclusion of women in this ever-evolving industry:

Dana Manns is just one of the remarkable women who have left a deep mark on CTE Trailers. She is joined by Sonia Ionescu, Chief Financial Officer with almost two decades of experience in the field, Anca Gustil, Business Manager at CTE Used, with over eighteen years in finance and management, and Adriana Costea, a successful professional with extensive experience in Human Resources and Management.
This is how we show it’s possible. By choosing a secure career like that of an auto mechanic, young women can secure a prosperous future and the chance to educate other young women at the start of their journeys. This process creates a community of strong, confident women who are not held back by stereotypes. We believe such change can also be supported through Dual Education, since fresh graduates are offered employment within the company after completing their studies at the CTE Trailers Dual School, as well as the opportunity to continue their education. We eliminate one of the major barriers young professionals often encounter: the need for work experience to get hired in their area of interest. That’s not the case here—graduates of the Dual School enjoy the security of a job and a company that supports their personal and professional development.
